The hotel serves excellent breakfasts and offers reasonably large rooms with separate toilet as well as shower. Staff is professional and really helpful and you can park your car nearby.

Hotel overlooked garden and the room was wonderful and beautiful. This venue was set in a central area close to local bars/ restaurants, the city center and reception and cultural Basel. It also was in the gorgeous brasserie. I came here for 2 nights and had a relaxing stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Volkshaus and loved the stylish rooms, which were spotlessly clean. Despite the freezing weather outside, our room was warm and cosy upon arrival. The location was perfect, with multiple tram stops outside and within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. The staff were friendly and attentive, even bringing us an intense fan during a heatwave. The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Basel.

The hotel had excellent design, with perfect rooms and comfortable beds. The staff was super nice and the added touch of complimentary coffee and other goodies in the corridors was a great bonus. The sparkling water was the best I've ever tasted and even the apples were delicious. The location was fantastic and convenient, making it easy to explore the city. the hotel provided free travel on buses and trams, as well as discounts on attractions like the zoo and museum.

It would have been better if there was a fridge in the room, but we were able to ask the reception to store items for us if needed. Some may find the bathroom layout a bit strange, but there are side curtains available for privacy.

The hotel was easy to reach, with a tram stop just a few meters away, making it convenient for getting around. The hotel was very clean throughout, including the room and bathroom. I particularly enjoyed the excellent service provided by the staff, as they went out of their way to make my wife's birthday special. Special thanks to Anastasiia for her kindness and assistance.

The check-in time of 3pm was fairly late, it would have been better if it could have been earlier. the room lacked practical touches like plugs near the bed and adequate storage space.

Had an amazing romantic retreat! The room was beautifully designed with perfect beds and super comfy pillows. The bath gel was a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We adored the coffee and drinks bar on every floor which was a unique and fun experience. The location was great and convenient to explore the area. The free travel on buses/trams and discounts at local attractions was definitely a bonus we enjoyed.

We couldn't find anything unsatisfactory with the hotel!
